Robert Steele taught a D Pointe class for Studio Maestro's summer intensive. He worked on the alignment of the body. Students practiced their arabesques, which Mr. Steele remarked are unique to each dancer, like DNA. He advised the students to both feel and show the dance. The space was joyous, with a ray of light descending from above. Mr. Steele gave instruction to the class as a whole, as well as one on one pointers as needed. The students seemed glad to have his coaching. A dance class is usually intended to lead to art, but if you look at it from the right perspective, a dance class itself can be art. I have divided the photos into three photo essays to offer one such perspective. BalanceLinesAir
