RIOULT Dance NY, a leading American modern dance company with a classic sensibility, along with the Manhattan School of Music (MSM) will present a one-night-only performance of its Bach Dances on October 9, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Manhattan School of music's stunning John C. Borden Auditorium. The school is located on the northwest corner of Broadway at 122nd Street, NYC. Tickets are $12 adults, $7 students/seniors and can be purchased in person at the MSM Box Office (M-F, 10am - 5pm), online: www.msmnyc.edu/Concertgoer/Event-Highlights#oct or by calling 917-493- 4428.

The Bach Dances includes three RIOULT Dance NY works set to the music of J.S. Bach - Views of the Fleeting World (2008) set to "The Art of Fugue," City (2010) set to "Sonata for Violin and Piano #6 in G major," and Celestial Tides (2011) set to "Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat major." The critically-acclaimed program has toured throughout the United States and France with recorded music, however, the October 9, 2013 performance will mark the New York City premiere of Pascal Rioult's Bach Dances performed to live music in its entirety.

This May, as part of the 106th Bethlehem Bach Festival in Pennsylvania, RIOULT Dance NY treated audiences to the Program accompanied by entirely live music for the first time. On this performance, Steve Siegel of The Morning Call wrote, "The music of J.S. Bach ranges from the electrically ecstatic to the wonderfully weighty, so one would expect that a dance performance to his music would share such a colorful palette. Such was the case when the NY-based RIOULT dance company and members of the Bach Festival Orchestra presented an all-Bach program."

RIOULT Dance NY is delighted for its upcoming co-production with MSM of the Bach Dances with live music, for its home audience in New York City. Pascal Rioult says, "I envisioned this Program with live music from the start; it so special for the company to be able to perform it as it was intended and give audiences dance and music together in live performance." The evening presentation will bring RIOULT Dance NY's professional company dancers to the stage of MSM's John C. Borden Auditorium, and feature the highly-trained musicians studying at MSM.
