Jennifer Muller/The Works proudly announces its Featured Performance to open the annual Contemporary Art Fair NYC and the American Craft Show NYC on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Javits Center. The Works will present a 5pm program of dance excerpts from its dynamic repertory, including Aria, Bench, Edge, Flowers, Hymn for Her, Momentum, Moon and Tangle.For 38 years, contemporary dance company Jennifer Muller/The Works has applied a multidisciplinary technique that weaves dance, theater and visual arts to create exhilarating dances that celebrate and illuminate the human spirit. Artistic Director Jennifer Muller's creations are evocative, passionate and engaging, and she is delighted for this opportunity to share the company's artistry in cooperation with American Art Marketing. Now in its second year, the Contemporary Art Fair NYC and the American Craft Show NYCwill r un through Sunday, November 20, 2011, and will feature the work of more artists in its second year. Richard Rothbard, director, states, "In addition to the work of established and emerging painters, photographers, sculptors and artists working in mixed media — who represent over half of the 175 exhibitors — the craft show will include recognized jewelry, furniture, fashion, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and textile artisans to fill Hall 1A at the Javits Center, the weekend before Thanksgiving." One ticket opens both doors to the juried events produced by Richard and Joanna Rothbard of American Art Marketing. The Rothbards, who have directed art fairs and craft shows for over 30 years, also produce the Berkshires Arts Festival and American Craft Show Sarasota and were responsible for the winter Rockefeller Arts Festival in Manhattan [2002-2005].
