I tested the Canon EOS 1D Mark III at Talia Castro-Pozo's birthday party at Taj. The party was packed with people. Talia was very happy so many people turned out to show support for her birthday and the party. Jerry Rivera, a very famous salsa singer, dedicated a Rumba song for Talia's birthday. The special drink of the night was a Talia-tini. Talia teaches at Stepping Out Studios and is one of the organizers of the Monday Taj party. Willy's NYC Salsa Band played and Nelson Torres was the DJ. Lisa Allen assisted on some of the photos. The Mark III took some very nice pictures, but some parts of the room were too dimly lit even when the camera was set to ISO 6400. While the Mark III can handle some dance venues without a flash, others will still require the use of a flash. I rented the Mark III, along with a 24mm 1.4 lens, from Fotocare. See a test of the Mark III under reference conditions. The next camera on my list to test is the Nikon D3.
