IN THE COMPANY OF STARS, photographs by award-winning photographer Gérard Uféras,
which will open at The Gallery at Hermès on June 8th. By shadowing the Paris
Opera Ballet through the lens of his camera, Uféras has captured a highly
personal, rarely seen angle of the renowned dance company.

The exhibition, drawn from Uféras's 2006 book, In the Company of Stars,
highlights the grace and beauty of dancers as viewed from the wings of the
stage and in the rehearsal room. Through his haunting series of photographs,
Uféras crafts a new dance for the company; he essentially becomes the
choreographer, orchestrating a ballet for us through his own elegant and
arresting images.

The exhibition will be open to the public from June 8 through July 21, 2007.

The book came out in France in 2006, will be published in the USA in September 2007.
