Gary Negbaur at Chelsea Station - Elegant Sustenance for Three Senses

The slow roasted salmon was accurately named in that it took a while to prepare. It was worth the wait. The salmon was savory with a hint of lemon. The fingerling potatoes were creamy and flavorful. Resist the temptation to eat the dish quickly, even if you are hungry. This is a meal worth savoring.

The wait, and the savoring, were greatly enhanced by the crisp and swinging piano and vocals of Gary Negbaur. There was no dancing, but there could have been Swing and Foxtrot. The space is elegant, incorporating decor from the old Biltmore Hotel. Foxtrot would fit well in this space.

Happy hour lasted until 10 pm, so there are multiple reasons to give Chelsea Station a try. If you like your dance Modern, Chelsea Station is walking distance from the Joyce Theater.
