Gala to Feature Two New York Premieres The 2009 Black Tie Gala will take place on Tuesday, March 3 at New York City Center. This year's program, at 7pm, includes Mercuric Tidings and Mr. Taylor's two newest dances: Changes, which revisits the turbulent 1960s through songs sung by The Mamas & The Papas, and Beloved Renegade. After the performance, Gala guests will be taken to Cipriani 42nd Street for dinner, dancing and a live auction led by Sotheby's auctioneer Hugh Hildesley. Annual Friends' Reception Set for March 7 at City Center Prior to the 8pm performance on Saturday, March 7 at New York City Center, Friends of the Paul Taylor Dance Company — donors of $50 or more — will have a chance to meet other Friends as well as Taylor Alumni at a reception in the theater's second floor lobby. This annual event has become one of the most popular on the Company's calendar each year, with a chance to enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres and meet some of your favorite performers from years past.
