Lori Brizzi threw a party at Il Campanello tonight. The party featured Hustle, West Coast Swing and Salsa. The price was $15 per person, but you got in for only $10 each if you ordered dinner. There was also a raffle for dinner-eaters. I thought these two measures were excellent ways to encourage dancers to patronize restaurants that offer social dancing.

The DJ, Bobby Morales, played a rotation of extended sets of each dance. The floor seemed to be equally packed no matter which dance style he played. Il Campanello has a generously sized, high quality floor.

Overall, I thought this was an excellent party that created a fun environment with a laid-back elegance. Many of the people there had clearly put some care into what they were wearing. I will definitely put this party on my calendar in the future.
