The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries

The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries is part of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases (NYU HJD) and offers a variety of healthcare services to the dance community. These include weekly dance injury clinics, physical therapy services, free one-on-one injury prevention assessments, and injury prevention lectures and screenings for dance schools and companies. The Harkness Center's programs are staffed by orthopaedists, physical therapists and athletic trainers specially trained in dance medicine. An Immediate Care center operated through NYU HJD is also available for dancers seeking emergency care. Financial assistance for dance clinic and physical therapy services is available.
