Dance New York Holiday Party 2002 Notes

Robert Abrams
December 6, 2002

A select gathering at the Dance New York Holiday Ball had the opportunity to watch Paul Green and Aleksandra Gisher perform. I have known Aleksandra for a couple of years having taken lessons at Dance New York. She has always been phenomenal. Tonight she was better than ever. When they were moving, they were moving. When they were still, they were still. This is the essence of dance. It sounds self-evident, and easy enough, but the difference between saying it and dancing it is like the difference between a bag of apples and an apple pie.

Aleksandra and Paul will be representing the USA at the upcoming World Latin American Championships. Tonight's performance clearly showed why they deserve this honor.

If you want to see them perform, consider attending their New Year's Eve celebration, to be held in Bergenfield, NJ (with a convenient charter bus to and from Manhattan so that you can dance the night away and get home safely afterwards). Call Aleksandra at 917-365-2565 or email pdg_70@hotmail.com for all of the details.
