Rona's Country Western Dance is a rollicking good time. Many different line dances are played to mostly Country music. There was also a fair bit of Country Western Two-Step, some Waltz, and Country Western Cha-cha. It turns out that there is more than one variant of Country Western Cha-cha. In my one foray to the Saddlerack in San Jose, CA I had gotten the idea that Country Western Cha-cha was one set sequence, but clearly I was wrong. Rona's dance also featured a fair bit of West Coast Swing, and some East Coast Swing. She taught lessons in both a line dance and a Country-Western Cha-cha.

There was a good crowd of friendly and enthusiastic people. This was Rona's sixth anniversary, so there was also a cake. Club 412's bar service was ample as usual.

I don't usually go to Country Western events, but I had a great time anyway. They even got me doing line dances.

Rona's event is held once per month. Admission is $15. She also does Country events on Tuesday nights. For more info, contact Rona at 917-371-4921 or www.purecountrynyc.com.
