Champion Dance Studio 300 West 43rd Street (8th) 3rd Floor 212.307.7707 Mondays, 7 - 9 PM Wednesdays, 7 - 9 PM $10/Hour Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25 Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27 Basic Samba is at 7PM. Bossa Nova and Zouk at 8PM. Classes open to all levels. Different material will be covered at each session. 4 classes are recommended. About a year ago, I took workshops and private lessons in Brazilian Samba with Carlos Porto, who is a dance teacher to remember! He has a great sense of humor, speaks mostly Portugese and Spanish, but communicates perfectly and with tremendous charm, during his engaging lessons. I was thrilled to hear that Carlos is back in town for a brief month. These are lessons not to be missed! For the next two Wednesdays, I will photo the 2 hour sessions, and you will be able to visualize a continous series of increasingly energetic steps. In fact, you will run to Brazil for Carnivale! Watch for my exclusive photo shoot, next week, of Carlos Porto's Samba Show, which will be privately performed just for ExploreDance.com! Also, next week, I will conduct an exclusive interview with Carlos, assisted by a Brazilian translator, Alex, a member of these classes. Call Champion Dance Studio today, 212.307.7707, to reserve a spot in at least one Monday or Wednesday Brazilian Rhythms Class. November 6, 2002.
